WHY DO WE HAVE ROTARYFEST?
In the last 10 years, Leavenworth Rotary has raised and donated $350,000 to local and international projects. 

Did you know that by registering for Rotaryfest, you are helping support local programs in Leavenworth! Leavenworth Rotary is committed to finding the need in our community and helping out by funding important service projects. 

Below is just a sampling of what Leavenworth Rotary has funded with past Rotaryfest dollars!

MEND:  Support for the Free Clinic, Community Cupboard, and purchased a new van for support of their work. Donated funding towards affordable housing.

Scholarships: 4 given annually to students who show exceptional service to the Leavenworth Community

Student Exchange:  Annually host one, “in-bound” and one, “out-bound” high school student for building International Good Will.

Wenatchee River Institute: Built the outdoor Learning Center.

Playground Equipment: Created the playground at Enchantment Park

Pump Track:  A major contributor to the track at Enchantment Park

Interact Club: Sponsor a vibrant, CHS Club focusing on service to the Community and the World

Leavenworth Senior Center: Replacement of aging roof, and kitchen appliances

Local Residents: Have provided assistance to residents with needs such as ramps, home rebuilds, etc…

WORLD PROJECTS have included and continue to include:

Polio Eradication:  Thousands of dollars matched with the Gates Foundation to eliminate polio world-wide

“Shelter Box” Funds: provides temporary shelters and supplies to locations suffering from natural and political disasters.

Guatamala Literacy: Money for libraries, curriculum materials and instruction

Medical Supplies:  Send surplus medical supplies to third-world countries.

Computer Labs: supported the creation of computer labs in Africa

Latrine & Clean Water Systems: Supported the building of latrines and clean water systems in Africa and other countries.

Water Retrieval Systems: supplied water-hauling equipment to women in Africa.

Mobility Devices: Gathered and sent bicycles and wheelchairs to Africa & Guatamala

Support to Areas Suffering from Natural Disasters: Continue to support areas affected by wildfires.
